Parent's CornerWELCOME PARENTS! Thank you for trusting us with the tremendous responsibility of helping you raise your children in a community of faith. Our mission is to partner with parents and families to provide a solid foundation of faith that will help mold and guide children as they grow into loving, devoted followers of Christ. Because we take the safety of our little learners seriously, all of our volunteers have been subjected to and have passed a comprehensive background check. Our curriculum is always age appropriate and taught in a safe and supportive environment by a team of dedicated volunteers. We strive to make church a happy place where children are excited to be involved and to learn! IMPORTANT INFORMATION Rules for the Children In order to create a supportive, peaceful learning environment, we have some basic rules and expectations for all children who participate in our ministries. 1. Follow directions given by the teachers and group leaders. 2. Respect one another and the church. 3. Participate appropriately Disciplinary Consequences Our goal is to guide children with gentle voices and hearts. We understand that it is not always easy for children to make appropriate decisions regarding behaviors and our discipline guidelines are meant to allow time and grace for corrections and redirection to a more positive experience. 1. A warning: A verbal warning about the inappropriate behavior and a redirection back towards appropriate behaviors and interactions. 2. Thinking Time (away from class) a. Pre-K/K: 2 minutes b. 1st - 2nd grade: 3 minutes c. 3rd - 5th grade: 5 minutes 3. Removal From Class/Parental Contact

Check Us OutMEETINGS Jr. High: Wednesdays @ 6:00 pm Sr. High: Sundays @ 9:00 am American Baptist Youth The Junior and Senior High School years are ones of transition, change, and challenges. ABY is here to help support you through those transitions as you strengthen your relationship with Jesus and grow deeper in your faith. If you aren't sure about your relationship with Jesus or if you haven't decided yet upon a path of faith, that's okay too! Joining the other students at ABY is a perfect way to begin your relationship with Jesus and to have a caring, nurturing support system as you begin your walk of faith. Through our youth program, First Baptist Church is dedicated to providing meaningful Bible Study and lessons that are relevant to the difficulties and challenges faced by students in their everyday lives. This isn't about stuffy stories that feel disconnected from the reality of your lives but rather about nurturing a relationship with Jesus that will help you with the very real difficult moments you face as young adults. And did we mention the fun and games? Because we've got those too! We recognize that students also need a chance to connect with one another and just unwind with a round at the ping pong table or a quick game of basketball or to just plop on a sofa to eat some ice cream and shake off the stress of everyday life. Come As You Are! Everyone is Welcome! Bring a Friend!

Youth In ActionABY On the Move We don't just sit in a classroom and talk about our faith, we put our feet on the ground and share it through example by working in missions each summer! Mission Trips Every Summer ABY participates in a mission program called TeenServe. TeenServe gives students the opportunity to serve people in communities across the country by painting homes, building ramps, and performing minor home repairs for those who are unable to do those things for themselves. At the same time TeenServe offers an amazing opportunity for students to connect with other teens from all over, to worship with praise bands and Christian artists, and to share their testimonies as they grow their faith in an inspiring week of work and worship.
