This is a six week study titled 'Not a Fan' by  Kyle Idleman

fan: an enthusiastic admirer. In the Gospels, Jesus never seemed too interested in fans. Is that how you define your relationship with Him? An "enthusiastic admirer"? Close enough to Jesus to get the benefits but not so close to require sacrifice? He was looking for followers. Not just any follower though, but a... COMPLETELY. COMMITTED. FOLLOWER. How would things change if you lived as Jesus lived, and loved the way He loved? Maybe you’re ready to join the hundreds of people who have stepped across a line and said: I am not a fan.
Tuesday

OOPS! We don't have a small group currently scheduled on Tuesdays. Need a small group that meets on Tuesdays? Why not talk to Pastor Jim about starting your own!? You don't have to be an expert on the Bible, you just have to be willing to follow the materials and help facilitate a discussion. We have an ever-growing library of small group materials and sample kits for you to check out so you're sure to find something that meets a need or that sparks your interest. Most small group studies are short term (4-8 weeks) and provide everything you need to know to get your group growing in the right direction!

This is an ongoing small group study and support group for those who are working through the effects of loss and grief. The current text is 'Facing Loneliness' by J. Oswald Sanders.

J. Oswald Sanders, who experienced the poignancy of loneliness in his own life, shows you how to identify the symptoms and causes of loneliness and how to deal with the heart of the issue--the lonely person's lack of intimacy. He offers hope and practical wisdom as he encourages and challenges you to take specific steps to overcome the unpleasant effects of being lonely. "I know there is no simple or single answer to the problem, no glib solution...Loneliness is a complex phenomenon, and different types of loneliness require different approaches... But the resources available, both from God and from fellow men and women, are more abundant than we realize...Furthermore, loneliness can be the starting point of a new journey toward moral and spiritual maturity."
Thursday
Days: Thursdays (starting May 25)

Time: 6:00 pm

Location: 1712 W. Meadowlark Dr.

Hosts: Shai and Karen Nyi

This is a six session study based on Lee Strobel's personal journey from atheism to faith.

Lee Strobel trained as a Yale lawyer and journalist. He has applied his training to investigating the factual, historical evidence supporting the claim of Jesus as the Son of God. Even for those who already believe in Jesus, this study will provide further information about who Jesus is. The more that we come to know about Him, the closer we can come to Him and the more intimate and personal our relationship with Him becomes. In addition, this study attempts to provide answers to the common questions that non-believers or those new to Christianity might ask. This is an examination of faith from a completely different approach to what most people experience.

  Days: Thursdays (starting April 27)

Time: 6:30 pm

Location: FBC

Hosts: Barb Tholen

This is a small group study of the book on The Gospel of John by William Barclay. This study also utilizes on-line study guides as a resource.

"The more we study John, the more wealth arises out of it," says William Barclay about the Fourth Gospel. Barclay helps give the reader a sharpened perception of the emphases of this Gospel. Written during a time when heresies abounded, the Gospel of John clarifies both the humanity and deity of Jesus Christ. Through his imaginative translation and insightful commentary, Barclay uncovers the unlimited riches of this beloved book.
